Hi everyone! All my life I thought my hair was straight and frizzy, but now I know I have waves. The thing is, I wish I the bottom of my hair waved too. It looks like my hair is wavy and then the bottom 3-4 inches are almost straight. I use cones on the length, could that be the problem?
I insterted some pictures because I can't hairtype my hair. This is the first time I've tried uploading pictures, so I'm sorry if it doesn't work. I uploaded them to tinypic and used the IMG link. Thank you all for your help!

Looks like you're 2a, possibly 2b to me.
I'm a wavy, and use cones as well. They don't change my wave pattern, for me personally, but YMMV. Everyone's different. It takes a while until you get a routine together. Have you heard of the curly girl method (it's for wavies too)? Here's a link just in case:

Are your ends heat or dye damaged? If not try clarifying and chelating, you might have build up that is straightening out your waves.

I agree with 2a or maybe 2b because the waves start quite high up. Try curly girl and I think pay particular attention to moisturising the ends? Maybe a bit of leave in conditioner might make them sproing back up with the rest of your hair.

The bottom 4 or so inches are bleached. No heat damage, though. Is olive oil good to moisturize the bleached ends?

Thank you! Can you recommend a good leave in conditioner? I have no idea where to start.

I just use the same conditioner as I use when I wash my hair - Tresemme naturals. I'm a similar length/texture to you and I use a pea-sized blob, rub it on my fingers and rake through my hair when it is soaking wet (actually before I get out of the shower... because that's where the conditioner is and I'm lazy :p) Then I do the same raking through of a barely pea-sized amount of coconut oil, then the same with a tiny bit of gel, and leave it to dry without touching. It takes ages (to dry, that is- the application takes seconds) but it's worth it. For more info check out the LOC method thread (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=118167).
First, I'd just try the conditioner bit, though. Trial & error.

I, too, recommend the curly girl method, i.e. conditioner-only washing. I started doing it myself about five weeks ago and I'm amazed at how curly it's making my hair, especially on days when I don't finish my wash with an ACV rinse. My curls have become much more pronounced since I ditched my shampoo. Back when I was still using shampoo, I was a 2a. Co-washing has made me a solid 2b/2c, and when I apply an SMT, I turn into a 3a (!). The first time I SMT'ed, I had actual ringlets. I was astonished.
So, yeah. If you want wavier hair, try conditioner-only washing, or even better, regular SMTs.

I'd say 2a as well, maybe 2b when you change your routine or your hair grows. Beautiful waves!
