What is your longest stall? My hair has been bouncing around 27-28 inches since January. I am wondering if and when it will start growing again. Desperately hoping its not the big T. So cheer me up and tell me how long of a stall you have experienced.

About a season's worth of growth in my case. Was back when my hair got permed. Do make sure there's nothing else going on (breakage), which in my case that was part of the whole deal. Nevertheless, took more time, but I still managed to grow out from shoulder to hip with major white dots and splits in my hair. :silly:

I'm in a stall right now myself, wish I had news to cheer you up. I've been at the same length give or take since April. The summer months are usually when my hair grows the fastest and I usually get a lot more growth. Sigh.

Well at least I am in good company.
Lapushka I don't think I have breakage. I only find a few white dots/splits when I s&d. I don't dye, use heat etc.

Well I've been at 24/25 inches (depending how I measure) for the past 3 months...was really hoping for a summer growth spurt :(

I wasn't really counting but it seemed at one point my hair just sat there twiddling its thumbs...around 6 months.
Some stalls can last a year or more before the hair starts showing more growth.
Have you tried daily scalp massage to encourage your follicles?

Years. My hair hung out at 52.5-53.0 inches for several years before it started growing...now it is holding at 61".

I've been stuck around 27-28" too! Though that's partly my fault because I keep trimming it. Earlier this year, I was stalled at 25" for a couple months. That wasn't very fun :(

Years huh? Guess this will teach me patience. I can start scalp massage. Woud be worth it to start growing again.

I think mine is stalling for some reason. I think it's impart to the length it's at. I hope not. I checked my ends to see if there are splits I don't see any. I don't have any white dots or breakage. I don't dye, perm, or use heat so maybe it's just resting right now.

I thought that might be it, but I'm wrong. I hope your stall soon stops, though. It's no fun (by whatever it's caused or whether or not it just "happens").

I stalled near TBL for years (at least... 5?). But that was a false terminal due to breakage. Daily updos shifted me out of it (and now I'm at knee and still going).

I wear my hair up most of the time.

I think I got stuck at 27 inches (which was the length when I first started measuring) from January til June. It might have started earlier than that, though, since I only noticed when I joined and started actually measuring my hair. Furthermore, I had been in the habit of wearing my hair bunned most of the time for a while, so I couldn't attribute it to the chair friction that commonly causes BSLish stalls.
For what it's worth, when my hair did start growing again, I think I still ended up with about 6 inches of growth that year. It's like it saved it all up and then went sprinting. Maybe that's what yours is up to?

I have been at classic since 2010 :( - with a few trims of 2 x 2inch per year...i also dyed it black, tried color remover last year, so that didn't help either...i do S&D when necessary. Till recently i let it hang down a lot, but now i'm trying to put it more up, to avoid more damage...it's now like maybe 2inch past classic. My hair grows well, because i have to cut my bangs often...i also use henna again on my hair and my hair shines like a mirror...still it is very dissapointing, because from the start i wanted knee-length (it reminds me of fairies and elves) hair and i don't seem to get there...i do now massage my scalp in the shower before washing and also do some oiltreatments now and again...i hope it will help

Maybe a few months but once i started ignoring it seemed to take off and grow, when ever i reach a new length it stays there for a month or two then it starts growing. You could always try protein shakes they kick start growth for me if i'm feeling particularly frustrated.

I feel like I'm just coming out of a one year stall. To be fair, I trimmed about 3" over the course of the year, but it seems like it just. didn't. grow. I'm seeing growth now though.
