has anyone tried the inverion method? its a secret ancient Egyptian method of growing hair quickly in a very short amount of time. heat up oil (olive, coconut, etc.) then massage it into your scalp, then invert your head for no more than 4 minutes. do this for 7 days straight once a month. if you do it more than that, your scalp wil lget adjusted to it and it wont work.<img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/98/Female_topless_egyption_dancer_on_ancient_ostrakon .jpg" border="0" alt="">

There's an entire thread (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=116151)about this method.
In general, for some it doesn't work at all, and for some it works wonders. There's only one way to find out if it works for you: try it.

Hahaha, i've seen those vids. Alot of it is wishful thinking, i guess what make hair appear grow faster in the end is the excessive awareness and legth retention rather than actual growth. If it stops breaking off it seems to grow faster. If it would work woonders tho, everyone could easily make it to classic in less than a year, and we all know that ain't gonna happen.

You have to subscribe to it after you post it. See the thread tools dropdown menu to the right of the thread title? You click on that, then subscribe is on the bottom of that list. Then when I want to check something, I click on notifications at the very top of the page, next to your username, then click inbox, then the box on the left below 'my messages' says 'subscriptions'. Click on that and it will show all the threads you are subscribed to.

Someone recently blogged that this was hooey. I don't know personally.

Hooey or not, it can't do any harm. I just do a scalp massage when I remember to, but don't do the inversion.

also I think there is an option in settings where you can be subscribed to any thread you post in if that makes things easier!
I wish this would work for me! I've tried it (though I didn't stick to it too diligently :p ) but I think if it does speed up growth, it must be a very little amount- otherwise people would be growing to extreme lengths in no time all over the place, it would be too good a secret to keep!
ETA definitely can't harm though- scalp massage feels great! if anything, it might help your hair grow to its own potential :)

I don't know,I've seen this method mostly 'work' on very curly people or relaxed and the before-after never convinced me that their super growth isn't just wishful thinking.Maybe it grows a bit quicker, but def.not an inch or two a week.

Didn't do anything for me. After one week I had ZERO growth...not even the usual tiny amount. I did not use oil, though, because oil and my scalp do not go well together.

i am doing it now with Jojoba oil.. Today is the second day. I do see about 0,5cm of roots, but that was before i started, so i don't know...
