So I managed to make myself my first ponytail stub YAY!

I can also do some micro halfups with mini flexis, and twist and pin backs with pretty bobby pins.

I gess my question is, is there something other than a hair tie I can use for a microponytail? Or is there other toys and styles I can use with hair so short? specially Im interested in putting my hair up since its HOT LIKE HELL in here this summer.

Thankyouuu

Ooh, been there, done that! I often wondered what I was thinking by growing out my pixie during the hottest summer ever! I hadn't had hair touch my neck in 15+ years, and it was miserable!

Definitely, keep doing what you're doing. Lots of half-ups with braids and twists, camouflages the crazy reality that comes with growing out a pixie. I lace-braided my bangs to one side--I grew them out, too-- and French braided them straight back when it was long enough. I also made 2 or more micro-Gibson tucks along my hairline in back. You could make a bobbypin headband by pulling the front back and making a line of bobbypin x's where a headband goes? Can you make 2 teensy buns in back, and use a bobbypin for a hairstick?
Look at this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rMK_7G2yL8)? Her hair is longer, but you can modify for your shorter length?

Good luck with it! You can do it, my fellow pixie grower!

Ah my inspiration fellow! :hifive:

I should totally try braids more, Im braid lacing my bangs when its hot and they bother me, but that doesnt keep my hair out of my neck ugh...

Micro gibson tucks? I should check that.

Any hairtoys you could use?

Maybe a barrette to hold your hair up..or several.

I wouldn't recommend using bobby pins in X fashion. That technique puts too much pressure on the scalp and hair. Better to place them parallel to each other, like this..////

Claw clips are a shortie's friend.

Hair combs are really good and non damaging, both for keeping hair out of your face and for disguising the dreaded mullet. Something like this (http://www.pouted.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Wedding-hairstyles-for-women-with-short-hair.jpg) (except, not so floofy). Etsy is probably the best place to find a very wide variety in terms of cheap to expensive/simple and elaborate, I've found.
