Hello everyone,

I just went through a whole year of being on the LHC, and my hair has never been so healthy!
-Sigh-
Last year I did a big chop from barely BSL, if that, to somewhere around APL.
For a month I lurked, then on this day last year I've joined.
Here, I'll post a photo which also indicates where I was before.
Also, think the top half of that red line, its a shoddy Snapchat photo [I apologize].

I would have done a Before-and-After, but I did not start taking length photos until last September/October.
I notice my ends aren't looking very even, they shall be trimmed soon.
[My hair is straightened in this photo, today was an occasion for heat use]

Where do I even begin to express how great the LHC is?
My hair is at a new record of length, my family has noticed.
Before the chop, my hair was a sad destroyed mess from using a flat iron on a daily basis (without heat protectant at one point!).
Among other bad habits.
Even before that, my family did not have the knowledge of hair care
and I wasn't gifted with durable hair.

But now, I can stretch my washes to twice a week (ex-daily washer over here)
and I am now sharing a heightened preference of oils versus cones (though I still use cones sometimes)
a shameless S&Der, [I did it on public transit today XD]
and I am now brave enough to wear my hair up and protect it more often.
[such as to sleep, and in public to avoid it getting caught in stuff]
My hair toy collection is growing, and I want moaaaar~

I couldn't thank this community enough, I never would have dreamed of achieving long hair.
So to all of you,
THANK YOU!

(p.s. lol you can see my tangle teezer in the photo)

I have the same TT!

I've also gone through a similar process. Congrats on the growth and enjoy your hair.
Your ends are not perfectly even but I wouldn't cut them just because of that (unless you wanted to). What I'm saying is it looks fine to me if you were looking to avoid trims.

Congrats, your hair is looking lovely and well cared for. Isn't it amazing all the ways we learn to take care of our hair on LHC?
