View Full Version : Not sure about how to classify my hair? (large pics!)

I've been lurking around here for a while, but I realized I haven't posted much myself! What length would you say this is and what color? My hair is virgin, but in different lighting it looks different colors....does this happen to others? The length shot was taken inside, without much natural light. What classifier would you use, it is usually fairly straight, but sometimes a little wavier.

Sorry for such large pictures. I added the collage of updos, to show the color variance... Let me know what you think! =D

I'd say lengthwise it's near TBL and perhaps 1c/2a?

Also my hair looks pretty much black unless it's in the sun, then it looks like a deep chocolate brown :)

Your hair "changes" color like my natural haircolor. It's slightly darker than mine, but I'd say it's blonette. Very pretty!

I'd say that's 1c.

I'm also going with 1c. Length wise, I would say a bit past hip or BCL. Color? Can't really tell in the photos, but from what I can see.. I would say 'blonette' too.

Btw, you have gorgeous hair! Love the styles.

Pretty hair! I'm in Maine too and wanted to say hello. :waving:

I'll agree with the hair typing comments cuz I'm bad at it, but definitely blonette!

To me it looks like golden lightbrown hair and 1c, to possibly 1c/2a or even 2a depending on whether you brushed your hair in the first picture or not. :flower:

My first thoughts are 1C and auburn.

It looks like a warm dark blond to me.
probably 1c-2a.
How big is the circumference of your ponytail?
Your hair looks similiar to mine, just a bit darker.

I was also thinking 1C and maybe a dark blonde, and hip-length.

Also i wanted to say hello to another New Englander. I'm in MA, but i spend all my spare time in Maine.

I'd say it looks closer to 1b.

I'd say 1b or 1c, definitely not 2a IMHO. And light brown with a golden, maybe even coppery glow over it.

I'd say that the colour is typical of a blonette...in one lighting it can look blonde and in another dark brown!

I think the flash is what's making it look so much lighter in some of those pictures than others; the ones without flash (so nothing to mess with the color) look like dark brown.

It's 4 1/4 " circumfrence :)

Gorgeous hair! I agree with the 1b/1c range, but I'm curious... was your hair air dried and not brushed in that photo? Brushing can really change wave patterns! Your hair may be wavier unbrushed.
