Hello hello,

I got this fork off ebay for not a lot, by LHC standards. The seller didn't know the maker and I wonder if any of you do. It's Madrone wood, per the listing. No makers marks. It's soft feeling rather than smooth, if that makes sense, which doesn't impact it's usability.

Thanks!

Could that be from "Blondiesturn"... or something like that? :hmm:

Oh that would be crazy. I just got one of those forks in a swap here, they don't feel the same, but I only have to one to go on.

Eta: it has a matte finish

Not sure but the shape reminds me a lot of South4th. His etsy shop is here, http://https://www.etsy.com/shop/South4th?ref=s2-header-shopname (https://www.etsy.com/shop/South4th?ref=s2-header-shopname)

I have one of his forks and it is very nice.

Oh, that looks right. And matches the price point the seller said she paid...

The tines of my fork aren't as pointy looking...

I think Sterlyn nailed it: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/93802637/madrone-shawl-pin-or-hair-fork?ref=cat_list_2&ga_ref=s2-header-shopname&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

Quasi, didn't notice it at first but the bag it came in is the same as yours too. :)

Yep I'm almost 100% sure this is my fork:

And now I have a new Etsy shop to stalk. Gah! But very good shipping prices, so that's always a plus! And yep, that looks like your fork! Congrats on IDing it!

Interesting. I saw that one on eBay, and didn't realize it was the same maker I just ordered from. I ordered this one, and I was wondering whether it would be a good purchase.

I'm not worried about the finish. I prefer a shine, so I micro-sand and oil all my wood hairtoys. The madrone is verypretty, Quasi, and since your hair is darker than mine, the contrast will be very nice!

Thank you willowyn. I actually like this finish, it's soft and matte and quite different from my other toys :)

Didn't read all of the replies but it is most definitely a South4th fork. I have a similar one and it came in the exact same bag.

I've ordered from South4th a few times and they all came with pretty pouches like that. I'm sure your fork is from him. I've sold most of them, though. The silky finish is too slippery for my hair. Would be great for more porous hair.
