I call this my "twisted roll" http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=1505&pictureid=21351
It is the style I wear the most and it is easy and secure for on the go.

I don't have a picture of it, but I just like to make a plain braid, fold it in half (so the tassel is right at the part where the braid starts), pull it up against my scalp, and secure it with a hair stick or a clip.
I recently moved, and while moving boxes I had my hair down and wanted to put it up fast. I just kind of made it up on the spot, and it worked :p. Although in a few inches my hair will probably be too long for it.

My signature pic: the braided bun. Looks much more complex than it really is, and it's simple if I start with a Dianyla braid.

Comfy and easy, yet intricate-looking! :)

The Lazy bun, I got it from the article section. Why do i like it, you say?? Because its currently the only "bun" I can get to stay, without using pins, and its So Comfortable. I forget I am wearing it.
I have a photo of it in my photo album.

Teazel, that is such a pretty updo, Is it a cinnabun on top? I have such a hard time with the french twist part. It pooches out in a big lump. Are the sparkly pins decorative or are they structurally necessary?

Hi, renarok; and thanks. :) Yes, that's a cinnabun on top. A true french twist is a big lump on me, too - my hair is too long - but coiling the excess hair on top of the twist is the perfect solution. The weight is distributed so well it's super-comfy.
The pins are doing a sterling job of holding the 'do up, but they are also decorative. ;) Wish I could find some plainer versions for everyday wear.
