Hi y'all! So I decided to a little story in honour of my year anniversary.
So I started with APL+ hair in July 2013 and reached waist in March 2014. Than in March, I promptly went to the salon and chopped all those stupid layers out- all 8.5 inches of them back up to APLish (not quite APL). I waited until my shortest layer hit APL. I'll include pics later. Now in July 2014, I am at SBL (shoulder blade length) and growing onto knee I think. I will be using body markers this time around (MBL=start of rib cage, WL= bottom of ribcage, Hip= bone, Classic=below bum, BCL= my bum hole etc.) and I think I won't be doing TBL- its just too finicky. I think I'm also gonna ditch FTL- too arbitrary. Doing body markers is just about 50 times easier for me.
Things that changed from July 2013:
-all damaged hair cut away, hair care is ridiculously easy
- I used a ton of coconut oil and love it. and my hair loves it.
- I don't really care that much if my hair grows. the rate, blah blah. and somehow, its growing an inch a month without me caring.
- Its up daily with a claw clip. I found claw clips serve my purposes a lot better than sticks, forks, etc.
- I'm finally an iii- which I wasn't without layers.
- I can self trim.
- I'm taking precautions against chlorine- I'm a lifeguard/swim instructor. Hair is grateful.

Sorry for the pic overload guys, I'm just really excited to have been here one year. I'm hoping to be BCL for my college graduation in May 2015!
