Does anyone know of any tutorials for how to create hairstyles like this (https://38.media.tumblr.com/baee4fcae8c4fbbd1eba163509ddffac/tumblr_n8cg22TZJU1s7ifvdo1_1280.png)?
Is it possible to do on bsl hair?
Thank you :)

Can't see any detail on the left and right pics. The center pic shows braids that look like theywrap around the head..which would require at least waist length hair. You could create a fake wrap around with a lace braid..but again, bsl hair is cutting it mighty fine.

I agree, I have an inch or so past waist and can JUST get mine around with a Dutch lace... Maybe you could try splitting a ponytail in half and looping it up like braids?

Sorry about the quality, I know it's really hard to see the pictures, all I can make out myself is two braids, one like a headband and one around a bun I'm just not sure how to do it myself.
I guess lace braids would be my only option for the headband braid until my hair gets much longer, not sure how to do the bun with the braid though:shrug:

….or you could cheat, and buy a braided headband that matches your hair:

And hey, it's not really cheating from a historical perspective, since women used hair pieces back then, too.

I parted my hair in half, and either french braided or lace braided each half towards the front, then braided to the end and pinned them down for a long time--however, anyone can french braid all around their head, imitating a crown braid, I could do this when my hair was ear length (just have more excess now).

This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQXu9enBrK0&hd=1) looks like it might be a bit relevant as well, but I don't know if it would be possible with your hair length  I'm sure you can figure something out though!
