Hello gals and guys! I need some help because I cant determine it.
I also have ringlets near my temples.

I'm thinking 2A or 2B.

June 28th, 2014, 09:17 AM
i would call this a crystal clear 2a. Lovely waves!

Looks about 1c to me, body wave but no individual (braid-like) waves.

June 28th, 2014, 10:34 AM
I'd say 2a, or maybe a 1c.

June 28th, 2014, 10:40 AM
1c probably

June 28th, 2014, 11:09 AM
I think 2a. It certainly has more than one or two visible S waves :)

Looks like 2a maybe

June 28th, 2014, 11:40 AM
I think 1c/2a, if you didn't comb/brush it.

June 28th, 2014, 12:12 PM
I'd say 1c/2a.

June 28th, 2014, 12:23 PM
I think I'd call it 2a. Those are waves, not kind-of-maybe waves.

You didn't comb it? It sort of looks combed to me.

June 28th, 2014, 08:22 PM
I'd say 2a but I agree it looks combed, which wouldn't make it very accurate.

I wonder if it's combed, and it's what my hair used to look like when I combed it. And it's all kind of more wavy than this now.

June 28th, 2014, 09:39 PM
It is combed. When it isnt it seperated into locks and you can see the waves/ stretched ringlets (idk the proper term). I can post a picture of it uncombed tomorrow when I rinse the henna from my hair.

June 28th, 2014, 10:09 PM
Definitely post a picture of it washed, airdried, and uncombed. Those ringlets are key to hairtyping. :)

That said, freshly hennaed hair might not be quite its normal texture. Let us know if it's off.

about 2 days ago I henna'd my hair and since then its been washed twice. It has straightened the body A LOT.

But the hair near my temples are still pretty wavy

It wont post the pictures.

Right now I would type you as 1c/2a, but since henna has a reputation of straightening out wave, you're probably closer to 2a/2b. If you're interested in increasing your wave, look into amla, an herb commonly added to henna mixes to counteract the straightening, and I think you can just do an amla treatment by itself or added to your shampoo as well.

I still see 1c hair. :)

The first picture you posted made me think 2a, but your latest made me think 1c. :hmm: I think I'd go with 1c/2a for now (was this your first ever henna treatment?).

July 1st, 2014, 06:23 PM
Wosie Nope, I've done it once before. But I didnt really pay attention to if it straightened my hair or not.

Molljo I didnt know that about henna~ I will certainly give amla a try.

Thank you, ladies ^^

It looks most like 1C since the henna.

I'm guessing you're at least a 2b when you don't use henna -- your combed-out picture looks like 2a to me, and those curly bits around the ears suggest you have a lot more curl potential. :flower:

Im finally mostly back to normal! Freshly washed, air dried, and completely uncombed.

I'd say 2a/2b, LunaLuvsU.

2a/2b sounds about right. :agree:
