The Progress Picture Thread

I enjoy keeping track of my progress with pictures, so I thought I'd start a general thread for pictures of your progress since actively taking better care of your hair and/or following LHC. It can be progress with length or health of your hair! If it's progress to YOU show it off! :D I think this could be a quite encouraging and inspiring thread!

I had been a lurker for a while after joining, but since December I have been getting "serious" about taking better care of my hair and letting it be it's curly self. I used to have virgin 3b curls before I owned a flatiron. In the last six months I have thrown away all of my heat tools, hennaed my hair, and tried out different cleansing methods. I also do an overnight castor oil scalp treatment once a week. I trimmed my hair two inches last week because it desperately needed it. My hair had reached BSL curly this month and was APL straightened in Dec!
Here is my 6 months progress! Can't wait to see a year!!! :cheese:

That's great progress, coveredbylove! Embracing your natural texture is the best thing you can do for your hair I think.

I have a long way to go until the bleach is grown out, until then my waves will always be a little crazy.

Your waves look so much happier! It's crazy how great they look without gel! They seem less weighed down... I love them! :crush:
I wasn't a daily straightener, I only liked to do it when I was in the mood for "something different".:rolleyes: But I never did like the way I looked with straight hair...just liked to see the hair itself straight sometimes...definitely not worth it! My fine strands can't take heat at all. Yours survived beautifully! :)
