My hair is EXTREMELY sensitive to about any kind of cleansing. I have tried very gentle sulfate free shampoos, As I Am Coconut Cowash, a L'oreal cowash, a few different conditioners for cowashing and they all leave me with frizzy, poofy hair.
I don't use sulfates or silicones, and I have 2a-b fine+medium hairs, bra strap length, low porosity roots, high porosity ends, low elasticity.
Also I have tried oil treatments and oil prepoo-ing and it doesn't help.
I have the same kind of problem as the person in this thread:

Creme of Nature Argan Shampoo is very moisturizing, gentle and smoothing in my opinion. It feels like a cowash product but it's not.
Eden a is very gentle cowash.
Have you tried the LOC method for the frizz and dryness on the canopy? It helped me a lot with that issue.

Good luck with this. I know what a pain it is. I spent a lot of money trying various products before finding mine.

Is there a difference between these two?

I've been eyeing the eden cowash for a while just to nervous to spend the money on a potentially failed product again.. and I don't think it's offered in stores near me so I'd have to go online.

Have not heard of the LOC method, where can I find it?

I think they are the same product with different color labels. I have the second link (also bought mine on amazon)
I have tried several gentle shampoos myself, review below..
Juice Organics POM Smooth (on the fence)
Creme of Nature Argan (lovely)
Acure Argan Stem Cell Shampoo (too slimy or too drying, went either way)
Garnier Pure and Clean (left a film)
some samples Temple Spa of Good Hair Day Day Shampoo
Shea Moisture Thickening Shampoo (waxy)
Everstrong and Eversleek (eversleeek ok, everstrong was too coney for me)
and a few others probably. If you get desperate PM me and I can ship them to try out if you don't live to far.

For a gentle wash that is a mix between a cowash and a shampoo I really recommend Curl Junkie Daily Fix. as a really good product.
Jessicurl has free samples on their website. You can get 3. You can try some of their no poo and low poo samples (shipping was $1.50 if I remember correctly)
