I love these things. Not only are they beautiful, but they make my bun more stable, to. I have a lot of unloved Amish pins, I'm going to try to make a few sets. Anyone know where to get awesome buttons/centerpieces to use? Most of the buttons I've found look like. .. well, buttons.

My set, from Lilla Rose:

Kaelee, after seeing these you-pins on you, I ordered a few from lila rose. Loved them when I saw your post on Flexi 8 thread. Still waiting for the package to arrive :(

I found some cute buttons and the craft store and wow and made these dragonflies. It was so easy, I'm going to have to make more!

How long are the ones from Lilla Rose? I saw they have regular and short ones.

Those are so pretty Kaelee! How exactly did you make those?

The LR ones are 3" functional. I made these ones by wiring shank buttons onto Amish pins. :)

Thanks. That's not too bad (long).
Anja

ETA: The short ones are 1 3/4 inches long.

Maybe you could also...
-buy really cheap cute earrings and hotglue (or whatever) them on a pin?
-make your own flowers, bees, kittens or ctulhu's with polymer clay? (Fimo) And glue them on a pin?
-I have also heard of people making the cutest flowers by making a tiny wire flower and filling the leaves with dabs of nail polish... It's quite populair, I've seen it on Pinterest I think
-make your own Kanzashi and stick them on top! ....orgluethemonapin

.......I am so gonna go crafty this weekend....!!

I love my Nightblooming and Ravenslair leaf finishing pins.

I never thought to make my own! Awesome idea especially tiny Bees and Chthulhus!

That's ingenious! I may have to go visit the button section when I stop in at the craft store tomorrow...

I'd recommend checking Etsy in general and possibly this store (https://www.etsy.com/shop/Lyanwood?campaign_label=transaction_buyer_notifica tion&utm_source=transactional&utm_campaign=transaction_buyer_notification_010170 _10529880387_0_0&utm_medium=email&utm_content=&email_sent=1402092589&euid=LV_O6jAGBcRAz_2RBWn1HipCBtfI&eaid=841939460&x_eaid=67dfe1cb6f) in particular. There's a pretty good selection of metal buttons that are either flower shaped or have flowers on them, which I really love, but others may or may not be a fan of. I will say that I ordered some last Saturday or Sunday and haven't received or gotten a shipping update on them yet, which makes me worry, but then I tend to worry about everything.

I took some of my old scatter pins that I never wear and wired them onto Bun Heads pins. I love them.
