If I use clarifying shampoo, does it remove the cones I have used in my hair? Also, what is the deal with cones? What is bad about them? How long do they stay in and do they damage the hair or something? I would really like to know more about this. Thank you.

Clarifying shampoo should remove cones and other buildup from your hair, yes.
Cones can cause dryness by building up on the hair and sealing out moisture. This can lead to damage, breakage and limp nasty hair. FOR SOME PEOPLE. If you use clarifying shampoo on a pretty regular basis, cones can be beneficial in that they provide exceptional slip and silkiness to the hair. You just can't let them build up. If you are someone who wants to embrace your natural hair texture, especially if you are a curly girl, ditch the cones for a while and see what happens!
