View Full Version : Protecting new growth when asleep

I just wondered if it was better to wear hair down for bed when you have a lot of new growth that's too short to do anything with.

I sleep with my hair both ways and I fidget a lot. Sleep cap is not an option, I get claustrophobic with things around my face.

My take on it - don't worry about it, it'll be fine without any extra protection.

You could try using a satin pillowcase.

Yes, a satin/silk pillowcase would work, if you feel too claustrophobic for sleeping caps. I have satin pillowcases and I'm quite happy with them :)

I'm with the above -- sleep bonnet or a satin/silk satin pillowcase. Which you use depends a lot on how you sleep. (I opt for sleep bonnets, because I end up sleeping on top of my hair or with it wrapped around my neck if I don't contain it.)

Thanks, I think I'll get a satin pillowcase.

Anje, my hairs nowhere near long enough to strangle me lol. It's conjured up images of the old b movies :)
