So I joined LHC over three years ago (January 2011) with damaged, APL hair. Determined to be a redhead, I had been ruining my hair with chemical dyes and blow-drying it to cover the damage :crazyq: Sorry, I don't have any pictures!
Then I found LHC while looking for advice on how to switch to henna. My hair rapidly improved - this is me about a year after the switch (March 2012):

You can see I'm still growing out the layers and damage. Later that year, July or so, I switched to catnip rinses and sulfate-free shampoo:

Looking back at this, I want to do that again. My hair was super-soft, light and shiny with more wave definition. Sadly the whole routine took way too long, something I just don't have time for at uni. Anyway, here I am today:

(Sorry for the terrible quality!)
Still haven't reached my goal - and confusingly, one of those pictures looks like waist length and the other is approached hip (maybe because of braid waves?). It feels like my hair still takes ages to grow, but at least it's healthier and longer now, finally :)
