It's 2 years today since I joined here looking for tips on keeping the little ones hair looking lovely.
Here she is 2 years ago at age 7

Her growth in inches is a lot more than it looks in body length. Obviously she is growing taller, and at some points, when big growth spurts have happened her hair has appeared to get shorter, she didn't like that much.
She is aiming for knee length, it's going to take a while since she is still growing. She has learned how to wash and condition her hair herself now, braids it herself for bed and can do a basic stick bun.

Thanks to you all for the encouragement over the last two years and onwards to knee!!

Holy smokes, what stunning hair she has! I'm really impressed, too, that she's taking care of it all by herself so young -- my mom was braiding mine when I was her age!

I always braid it or bun it for her to go out in public,as her braiding is a bit loose, but when she is at home I let her do it herself, never too young to start

Absolutely beautiful hair. :thud:

She is lucky to have a mom that teaches her how to take care of her hair so well. :)

That's amazing her abilities to take care of her hair and the length of it.

She is little Rapunzel princess! Really beautiful long hair. I'm amazed to know how she takes care of her hair herself. She is lucky to have a mom like you who taught her to take care of hair at this young age.

Your daughter has lovely hair! That's great she's learning to take care of it herself, and she is very lucky to have you helping her. When I was that age my mom got tired of my "rat's nest" as she called it and chopped it off into this really short bob that I absolutely hated. Can't say I blame her though, my hair has always been kind of difficult with a mind of its own, hahaha ;)

So cute! Her hair is so shiny in the second pic, I wish mine was like that!

Oh this is beautiful! I showed these photos to my 4 year old. She says she wants to grown hair as long as your daughter. Thank you for the inspiration :)

Oh wow, her hair is beautiful! She is very lucky to have a mom who helps her grow her hair long like that. My mother cut my long hair off when I was 5 or 6 because she said I wouldn't brush it. I probably wouldn't, but I hated my hair cut short!
