When I see the names of updos and I'm unfamiliar with them, I always search YouTube first. Several members here have accounts with demonstrations of a lot of the styles that are popular here.

At your length you can probably manage a disc bun (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y5sSEBy7HQ) and vortex bun (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRhVn1n8gpM), if either of those interests you.

My new fav, is the hypno bun. I hadn't tried it properly because it didn't look that impressive in videos...but when I did it right it actually looked gorgeous in my hair, one of the nicest buns I've tried and very secure too. I think you have to be very careful splitting the middle section so it looks neat, which can be tricky.

This woman's historical hairstyle channel is an insperiation for a lot of the messing around I do. She hs great detailed tutorials and is a 'hair archeologist' - unfortunately for most you would need help but I manage to modify a lot of the ideas to do-able. Just watch the needle skills vid first.

Agreed! I've spent a ridiculous amount of time viewing Torrin Pages videos, is she on LHC by any chance?

I hadn't seen the Madora before, I just tried it, it's awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Torrin Page is indeed on LHC, although I haven't seen her around in a while.
