Wow, the waves are so well defined! what did you do to achieve those? :D
by the way, i love the color of your hair. Is that dark brown on your sig your natural color? Did you use bleach to lighten or is it just many layers of henna?

what have I been doing - weird kind of Curly Gurl mod without washing it. I spritz it till its nice and pretty damp then scrunch it. I scrunch it up in my sleepcap. I work the sebum through it and moisturize with a tad of coconut oil.

The hair is naturally a dark brown but I have a lot of salt and pepper white and some white streaks. They dont show in the pic in my sig - somereason they were hard to capture and I did not realize just how much white was in there till I did the henna and the white took the first time a bright copper-orange. The lighter of the two tones is the most visible in pictures - not sure why. In person it is much more of a two tone look. Its been henna 3 times so far.

I can see the white streaks in photos, but the darker strands also look very bright red to me. I'd love to achieve that exact tone with my dark brown hair :)

Henna 'flares' in bright light. Henna is a funky creature. It ca look pretty dark in some light and flare bight orangish almost in really bright lights like studio lights and flash - avatar pic on the side -

This is the same session - we were outside in overcast conditions - starting to sprinkle. The flash did not go off in this one.

Under bright indoor light -the striping is more obvious here with the dark hair visible -

I use Red Raj which is the reddest henna I have ever seen, It even henna stains my nails a deep red. Usually best you get on nails is a dark orange.

Hmm, we have insane amounts of BAQ henna where i live, but they don't usually mention the origin of henna :( I'll just keep hennaing then, if it took you 3 applications it may take 5 applications for me to show the color :)
