Hi Y'all! Just wondering if you might have any tricks or tips for making sticks with heavy toppers stay in place comfortably? Please share!!

I find they work best when placed in buns that have a tendency to untwist slightly, but only if you put them in the right way.

I make my cinnabuns so the spiral goes anti-clockwise. It untwists clockwise. If a stick with a heavy topper is put in from the left at about a 45 degree angle, the weight from the topper prevents the bun untwisting. If you put it in from the right, however, the weight will help the bun untwist and it will be neither secure nor comfortable, if it stays in at all.

I insert a spin pin or two on the same side of the bun as the heavy topper. This supports it and prevents the bun from rotating.

I usually don't use things with heavy toppers as the hair holding hairtoy but more as decoration with plainer things holding the hair in place.
