Awwww, so cute.
No, my kids don't have the same hair as me. Two of my sons have the same hair as their dad, also tightly curly, but curlier than mine and with more shrinkage. Though he also has coarse hair and they do, too. the oldest has different hair than both of us. It was straight when he was born, like 1b, which isn't so unusual for tightly curlies and then it curls up by six months. My other two sons were like that. (i was born curly, but as as I said, looser). However son #1's hair never curled at all until he was 4 years old, to our surprise. I have relations all over the map (very mixed race family) so I was wondering if it would never curl after a while, but it just curled at an odd time--usually its either within six months or else it waits until puberty. Its still like, if he ever moisturized and brushed, he'd be a wavy, not a curly (which is common in my dad's extended family, but my dad wasn't, and neither were any of my siblings--my dad was a loose tightly curly like me) but he prefers to wear it looking 'afro-y' and it actually appears to be far more curly than mine, which it isn't.
I don't want to boast (well, actually I do)--my three sons are all extremely handsome and very physically fit and well built. And also a bit vain, because they constantly hear compliments from everybody. they all resemble each other so that you can tell they are brothers, although oddly enough, #1 actually really resembles his dad, #2 looks a great deal like me, though with an entirely different complexion and #3 looks like a mix of both. And me and dad look NOTHING like each other.

My girls don't have the same hair as me, either. The oldest has coarse very curly hair and my youngest has curlier hair although it is fine like mine, but very thick...way thicker than mine.

My dd10 has fine medium thick very slightly wavy hair. My dd6 has fairly thick fine curly hair. And ds3 has coarse thick tight curls.
My dh has/had (he shaves his head) fine tight curls and my hair is thick coarse and curly/wavy.

My son's is very different from mine. His Dad is strait up Irish with the tight red curlies and my hair is black fading to mouse ass brown in the sun as it grows and fine. My son's is golden blond (from where) with deep ringlets. I'd dried the ringlets out for this picture so he did not look so Shirly Temple.

Sort of yes and no. My older son takes after his dad more, so his hair is wavy and medium thick (also short). My younger son takes more after the Indian side, and he has gorgeous THICK 3b curly hair when he doesn't buzz it off. It's not long enough to ponytail, but I'd guess he has at least a 6" circumference. I would love to have his hair.

My brother had me convinced for years that I was adopted because of that.

I don't have kids either, but my father and I have the exact same hair! Mostly fine, kind of brown with a reddish glow in the sun. He had long hair when he was in my age and my hair now is the same as he had back then.

No one would have thought I was adopted, I have dad's hair, exactly. Actually, I'm pretty much Dad's clone, the resemblance is actually shocking (except I don't have a mustache, of course). I've been recognized as his daughter by people who didn't know he had one.As in, you HAVE to be related to...

No. I have 1b, hair. Maybe 1c. Although I'm interested in seeing what I think it is when it's long and I actually know what hair types are.
My daughter has 2c/3a hair. She has these beautiful defined spirals, that in humidity go all the way up to her crown. We live in an arid place, so they are only about the bottom 1/2 of her hair. She also has a lot of shrinkage - waist wet, around collarbone dry with her curls babied. She's 4.
It's been quite a learning curve for me, and actually some of the best advice I've gotten from this thread was for her hair. It breaks me heart that even with all I know she still says she doesn't like her hair. And wants straight hair like mine when she grows up. I think it's because she has a tender head and curly hair, so tangles are a constant for her. I'm trying to get her to let me braid her hair more, but she's 4. I did give her a bath yesterday morning, instead of at night, so her hair dried into beautiful ringlets and she loved that!
OP - your daughter has stunning blue eyes!

Well, my daughter is wayyy to young to know if she does or not, but she was born with quite a head of hair almost identical to mine at birth...so hopefully it stays that way!
Now, answering for my parents, I definitely have my dad's thickness of hair. My natural brown also comes from his side of the family (I take after Dad's side of the family almost entirely...the nose, eyes, eyebrows, face shape, weird hairline, even height and body build are definitely all Dad's side. The musical talent and ability to carry a tune are the only things I inherited from Mom's side). In general, I'd say most of my siblings also get their thick brown hair from dad's side, but my 3 sisters have Mom's finer texture, and Mom's blond(er) hair. And then there's my youngest sister who has shirley temple curls, and we're not sure where that came from! Probably Mom, because her hair does have some wave to it (and she's probably where I get my slight wave from, and 2 sisters have stick-straight hair).

Well, no kids here either.
Mother - baby fine, thin, wavy
Dad - medium-coarse, thick, lightly wavy
Oldest brother - medium-fine, medium thickness, lightly wavy
Other brother - medium-coarse, thick, curly (as a kid had pin straight, fine, blonde hair - interesting to see such a drastic change!)
Me - fine, thick, wurly
Also, your child is absolutely adorable!

Mine has my wurls and not sure where the fineness and thinness comes from. My dad is fine, and hub's side of the family is all coarse and thick. I think kiddo's hair is going to become more coarse, the new pieces growing in are much coarser that the fine length he has now, he's just 3. When I was young my hair was very thick and M/C (adulthood gave me medium thickness and M texture).

Your baby is beautiful and has beautiful eyes and hair! :D
*My mum has longer, thicker and wavier hair. Hers is properly 2a hair.
*Younger sister has shorter, thicker and less wavy hair. Hers is 1b/1c hair.
*Other younger sister had curly hair when she was 1/2 years old, but a few years on and now it's pretty straight but that's probably because it's very short at the moment. I think she'll just have wavy hair like the rest of us.
But yeah my hair is most like my mum's, except it's not as thick and wavy as it used to be. It was wavier when I was younger and not so wavy as a teen but now it's slightly wavier. I saw some photos of my mum from when she was around my age, at least frizzy hair appears to be genetic I think. :p So now I embrace the imperfections of my hair. :)

Yes... and no! My youngest has my waves on his crown and my husband's curls under neath. Until I figured out how to manage it it was a frustrating battle with his hair!
My oldest is all me. Although you couldn't tell because he keeps his short.

Nope, I have 3 kids, my eldest has 3c (although it's fine) my middle has kinky maybe 4c hair (coarse), my daughter has 3c (fine). My hair is different from my mom's AND my Dad's., more of a mix. My mom has 3c (fine hair) my dad was 1a. My eldest brother has my mom's hair, but it's way coarser, my sisters are 3c's, (fine).

She is adorable!
My son is almost three and his hair is not growing long in all places yet and it is still rather thin on the sides too, but his hair color and texture really do resemble mine a lot.
His hair is medium-dark brown also, which is funny because his dad has pitch black hair. So my hair color came all the way through. It is a bit less reddish than mine but definitely has a warm tone to it. Maybe it would be warmer if it was longer.

Yes, my daughter has my hair. It's a good thing, since her dad has thin, fine, curly hair that tangles and breaks easily. Her color is more "golden, sunstreaked blondette" rather than "boring mousey brown, ugh, pass the dye please" but that may change with age, unless she got her paternal grandmother's hair color which I have never seen but which she says is a dark blonde.

Nope. My son has 3c/4a corkscrews everywhere but some a little tighter than mine. He has much thicker strands and his hair is so dense you cannot make a straight parting. I would say he has about 3-4 times as much hair on his scalp as I do.
My daughter has dense hair too, maybe one and a half times the amount I have with thick strands and is a 2c/3a if I understand the typing system properly. Loose curls and waves with some ringlets.

DD has DW's hair colour (although more platinum blonde compared DW's strawberry blonde) with my hair type (thin and fine), whereas DS is vicea versa, he has my hair colour (dark brown, although mine has a lot of grey, but his of course doesn't) with DW's hair type (thick and coarse). All 4 of us have more or less long hair.

Colorwise, neither of my siblings share my color and neither do my parents. Both of my parents were blonde as kids, but my mom's hair turned brown when she was like six and my dad's turned brown when he was in college, I think. Mom's hair is silver now. Both of my siblings have brown hair. We all have straight hair, so we all at least inherited hair type. I think my blonde hair comes from my maternal grandmother - she was blonde and so is one of my aunts so it must pass down sporadically. Makes sense since blonde is recessive, brown overpowers it usually.

So far my son's hair is just like mine was at his age(5).It is white blonde and tends towards dry/fuzziness. Mine was just like that. My daughter's hair is slightly darker than my hair is (she is 5 years old as well) people always say that her hair looks just like mine, because the color is similar, but her hair will clearly be quite a bit darker as she grows up :)

No, lucky them! DD1 has fine hair, but it is very thick, blonde and stick straight. DD2 has medium strand thickness and it is very thick and quite wavy when she doesn't flat iron it. Mine is ridiculously fine, thin and only slightly wavy.

DD's hair now (at age 7) is very similar to mine at the same age. Hers is darker (medium brown with some red tones) while mine at the same age was "dirty blond" that became more blond in the sun. Hers does not lighten in the sun. However, the texture and thickness are very like mine at the time. We'll see as she ages if more changes occur.
Her baby hair was fuzzy and whispy and "barely there" for a long time.

I don't have kids but my mom's hair is straight brown, fine-ish and medium density, my dad's hair is blonde, more coarse, and at least 3a curly. I think I'm a mix of my parent's hair but leaning closer to my dad's. My little bro has the same hair as my dad for the most part.

My daughter definitely has the same hair is me; extremely light, medium thickness. Which is different from anyone in my family who all have dark red hair or brown hair.
