Hi all! So I'm wondering if there any more frequent trimmers out there? Every month I do a microtrim/dusting to keep my growth up because my hair splits easily and doesn't grow fast if I don't trim even though I'm iii thickness and have medium strand thickness. Is anyone else in this same frequent trimming boat?

I trim my split ends every month and often combine it with a microtrim to keep my U-hem in shape. I'm trying to reach hip-length while wavy, so I need about a couple more inches than my current length (hip while straight).

Sharysa, how much length do your waves eat up?

Yep. My hair just splits like crazy. I've joined LHC with half of my hair really damaged, so at first my trims were pretty consistent. Now I dust my hair every month and I really like it :).

I like to maintain my hair about 2 inches below waist-length, so I have to trim 1-2 inches every 2 months. Once it gets to hip-length it starts getting in the way of everything. My hair grows at twice the rate of the average person and I'm really short, so it gets too long very quickly -_-"

I like to trim every 6-8 weeks. Usually dusting only but sometimes I will take off more.
I just like fresh ends. I grew steadily all last year doing that. I just chopped to SL due to bad layers but imagine I will still stick with the same plan for re growing.

This is what I'm doing, although I'm not sure if I want a straight of a U-hem. I have some heavy layers so I'm just doing a straight hem until it makes sense to give it some shape. I'm microtrimming about 1/4 in each month or so. It does make me feel better about my ends.

Hahah, nope no layers. I trim - or should I say dust - so little that I can trim twice a month to see or feel any difference. Sometimes I just think it would be better to go to hair salon and get an inch cut off.
