I am going to say neutral medium brown, since it looks ash but the outdoors shade has a bit of warmth.

I grew up in Michigan! Loved it!
Your hair is pretty brown. Very pretty brown!

(I'm teasing. I'm horrible at color naming, but wanted to give you a "Ya!, eh?"

Looks like a level 7 ash brown. A level 7 is technically blonde but ashy colors can tend to look darker than they really are.

Blonde definitely not. You have a really nice dark brown color :)

Looks like a nice light brown; kinda ashy.

I'd say medium golden brown. Neutral browns are often mistaken for ashy colours as they lack some of the kick and brightness of warm hair colours and many people dye there hair now so it is seen less often. Many Beautiful soft natural colours are called 'dirty' or 'mousey' which I think is a shame.

It's the same as my natural - I'd go for medium brown.
Not going to say ash or golden as it seems to do what mine does and show golden coppery colours in the sun and ashy tones under indoor lights, so it could be either

It looks like level 7A, which is technically called Dark Ash Blonde. It's a really NICE color!

It doesn't look as light as a 7 to me, not even as an ash. I'd say medium brown, neutral-ashy. I consider myself ashy but my hair shines copper in the sun.

These responses are exactly my problem. This is why I asked because in recessed light my hair looks white blonde. At sunset my hair looks strawberry blonde. In a dark room my hair looks black. This is why I dyed my hair so much in the past. When I dye my hair it looks just that one color.

Well, the thing I love most about henna is that there is no such things as a one colour, but I get it can be stressful in a world with unnaturally monochromatic haired models everywhere.

I think this kind of brown/blonde/ash it has a lot of individuality, like deep waters: bright like a silver mirror when the light reflects itself upon the surface, dark as the night when you stare into it, and then all the hues of shadow and light between these two stages. When you look at it again, the colour has changed already.
I think its the best part of blonette colours, expecially when hair is glossy and catches the light best :flower:.

It looks level 5/6 to me and on the ashier side. You had a baby recently, so it could be that it's darker than normal because of that? That happened to my sister anyway.

You are a level 6N, not ash as there is slight warmth in the tone. (hair colorist)

You have chameleon hair. Nothing wrong with that. Mine looks dark chocolate brown in some lights, copper in others, almost like purple heartwood at certain times. Sometimes I get a sunny bleached out look. Looks different up than down. Live it up! You don't have to change your hair, just let it be however it feels.

Also, you have pretty eye color to go with your chameleon hair. I bet those change depending on the light as well. :)

I would say its a sandy brown. Very pretty, and it really suits you! :)

In picture 1 & 3, it looks dark brown. But in picture 2 it looks medium brown, so I'd say medium-dark ash brown.

You are right. My eyes are technically hazel. They have blue, green, amber all rolled into one. Sometimes my eyes look chocolate brown and to this day my cousin Hayley swears up and down she remembers them being blue. My skin is the same way. Neither cool nor warm but both. Sometimes pink sometimes gold. Some lights tan most lights pale lol. I know I sound like a mystical creature and I have been told on occasion that every time they look at me I look different. Even if they just looked away for a minute.

As cool as it sounds it's confusing and the skin color thing is because my skin is paper thin. I get stretch marks soooo easy. And veins veins veins. And when my BF tries to give me a hickey blood just comes out through my pores. I've spoken to a doc they don't care. And I have rambled about myself way too much now.

Oh! This is exactly my haircolor before the henna. I used to call it ash light to medium brown.
