I've always adored the gorgeous locks of Empress Elisabeth of Austria. Alas, I don't have that thickness any more and frankly knee length hair is stretching it a bit for me (even though I love the idea). Now if I had a hairdresser as talented as Elisabeth's was, maybe I'd feel differently!

I do, however, have a pinterest board full of updos and other hair styles. I do not feel comfortable sharing it here on this public part of the forum because it is my personal account with my real name attached to it.

This! I love seeing other people who have long, beautiful hair, but at the end of the day, I want my hair, with my texture and my color and on me, to be long and beautiful and I want to look in the mirror and admire that (don't get me wrong, I love my hair as is, just can't wait for it to be longer :D )

I sometimes google very long hair. And will sometimes save a pic to show someone then delete it shortly after. Im all lame like "this is what I want to have" lately i've been loving classic length if cut to my liking.

I too relate more to the story/process than the pictures in isolation. I looove progress pics, though.

I collect different lengths and have folders of each length .. Meaning I have 1 for current length, 1 for waist and 1 for tailbone so every time I reach a major milestone I delete a folder

I don't collect photos but there really are some great ones listed in this thread! They're great for inspiration. I do occasionally search google for long hair photos but not often. The first time I saw knee length hair was when I googled "extra long hair" and I think my jaw hit the floor!

No, I find it a bit creepy to collect pictures of strangers. I like my own hair and I admire the pictures posted on LHC, especially the extreme lengths, because the men and women here actually have long hair. The pictures of long and/or thick hair found on sites such as pinterest, are usually just extensions and wigs. Can't say that I'm particularly impressed or inspired by that :shrug:

If i'm looking for an inspiration, i usually just Google long hair or walk around in the city and watch long haired ladies and (more rarely) gents pass me by. We have a trend of APL-TBL lenght now so i see lots of pretty long hair.

I have that EXACT same problem!! Figures! I am about a 3b, but honestly, I LOVE seeing YOUR photos, because as you have said, curly long hairs are so very very rare! I suppose us curly haired people need to stick together and just inspire each other :D
