3 year anniversary

Last year, many of you were excited to see how far my hair would grow in the next year. I did grow a lot! but.. I'm sad to say I ruined my hair with a spur of the moment, at home perm.

this is how my hair started

this was a month or so before my one year anniversary. I had gotten mad about all my layers and cut all my hair off myself.

I can see your pictures. I think the new cut is cute. I'm guessing from your face in that last one that you are not too happy about it though. That in never fun. Good thing it looks like your hair grows beautifully!

Im planning on keeping it short for a while to get all the perm damage out and then continue on with my long haired goal

You seem to have gotten a lot of good growth in that 3 years time, though, so whenever you are ready to start again with it you should be able to bounce right back. :)

Nice cut, but I have the sneaking suspicion you haven't taken care of that perm properly (combing, brushing it out?) - if you don't change routines drastically (curly girl) after a perm, that is a recipe for disaster, and it will look fried.

the perm hardly worked at all, only near the roots did i see a texture change from my normal curl patters. I was looking to get a tighter curl and managed to fry my hair (had recently gotten highlights). the perm lasted a total of 4 days before I went and cut it.
