Judging from this picture http://sp5.fotolog.com/photo/53/17/118/abouthp/1227013418682_f.jpg
it looks like her ends are pretty blunt so that would make me think she was probably trimming? Then again that's not the best angle in the photo.
and yes I agree her hair was especially luscious before she cut it; she is gorgeous either way!

I think that looks like extensions. Either than or it's some incredible ponytail breakage that's made the hair at her nape and on top way shorter. Looks to me like her actual hair there is only BSL or so.
It's hard to tell with the other picture TheGoddess, because it's curled.

I really liked her hair in the movies! I read somewhere that it wasn't extensions and she just had long hair and let if grow but I would say she probably trimmed it at least because she bleached it for the role.

I love her hair. Luna is one of my favorite HP characters.

honestly her hair doesnt look healthy at all especially the top how can the top be so damaged and the ends good? it looks like extensions to me, overall she looks in bad health seeing her skin and lack of shine in her own hair.

LOVED her in the movies (maybe because I'm a very 'loony' person, myself), loved her hair in the movies, love that she is rocking classic length hair (even if it does look like extensions). It's tough to keep natural hair looking good when part of your job is to have it mercilessly styled, and I love that the actress is making extremely long hair part of her red carpet look. I do feel a little bad for her, though, because she probably would like to grow her natural hair that long, but I'd say it's near impossible to do that in the movie biz.

I always loved her character.. but it's extensions.

I recently read an old interview where she says it's Luna's hair, not hers. You can also tell because of the difference in texture. Her hair is a bit wavier. The extensions, however, are stick straight in most photos. You can also see where her real hair ends. Either way though, I do love her hair!

Don't know if it'll let me add a URL but here is where she says that it's Luna's hair.

What does hotlinking mean???

Well she developed anorexia thats why she doesn't look healthy in that photo, she's recovered since though

She looks so bleached, to me its not attractive. Though her face is pretty. To me it's really hard to pull off white-blonde hair unless its natural, because people whose hair is really that fair have a particular skin tone and look that others don't have. Also, its really hard to get the subtle natural variations that hair that's really that color has, the bleached hair just looks one flat color that looks awful to me. I've only known 3 people in my whole life that naturally had this color hair past age 12 (usually it doesn't stay past age 6) and this actress doesn't look in the least like they all did, though she's fair.

Yeah, it's extensions - I remember seeing a feature on Newsround when she was cast and her hair was just above APL and already bleached. She couldn't have grown it out so quickly between being cast and filming beginning. But still, Luna's hair does look great in the films, and I'm glad that they kept the character with long hair, as was described in the books.

Totally agree; I just don't get why bleaching to platinum is so super-popular (at least here)... And to many that's what's considered "blonde", any darker and they call it something else :p
