Ugh, my hair has reached collarbone length and its so awkward, it looks awful down and the only updo's I can do it a ponytail. Im dying to chop it again but I have a round face and I know it wont look good. Agh I just want it to grow.
Also, I have been growing out my bangs for 4 months and they are 5 inches now, I really want to cut them again, just to make this length a little more bearable.Should I?:(

I admit to borrowing my sisters flat iron for right about that length. I figured a month of heat damage every few days to get me past the worst stage wouldn't be that bad, and could easily be cut out when it was well past that length.

ETA: twin braids may also be possible at that length, as will a hairstick twist that I don't know the name of. It is a little like the pha bun but without the wraparound of extra hair.

Don't! You'll just be in the same place you're in now in a couple months if you cut it. Tough it out, it'll be over before you know it!

There's always something .. if you have to use heat use heat you can always trim it later ... I have gotten to collarbone 3 times and cut it right back up to chin every time . BIGGEST MISTAKE .. now I am FIANLLY past collarbone (took 2 years because of the constant cutting) ... just remember if you cut it now you will have to go through this stage twice because you will cut it then it grow right back to collarbone. So just put it up forget about it

If you chop it now you'll reach this awkward length again.

If you let it grow, you'll have long hair.

If you want long hair you HAVE to ignore it and power through the awkward stages :( I actually enjoyed wearing my hair up at that length you can do an easy peacock twist or a french twist they're so easy if I can do it you can do it because I am very impatient with hair styling and keep it really minimum and simple. I suggest a flexi-8 hair toy they come in so many variety of colors and decorations. I really would not cut it but if you're that unhappy go for some bangs to keep you happy!
