When the stylist is holding the small braid in the front up in the air, it looks like a small braid on the left was braided up to meet an identical small braid on the right. But then that's not what the final picture seems to represent. I just can't figure out exactly what was done here.

You know, it probably doesn't matter because I bet I can't do that on my own anyway. It looks like it really would take a stylist to manage it.

Do two braids, hang on I have a video of something that might work. Mine is lace braids further down but the principal is the same: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvAxHS_dIXQ

The idea is to make it look like just one braid. I'm planning to do some more instructions for things like this but I've had too much family stuff and essays to write to do any videos.

It looks like this February's style of the month, the braided headband. If you can french or dutch braid, you can do this! :flower:

It looks to me like they did one braid across the front, but the photo on the lower left is reversed.

Yup, one lace braid across the top, and the last section they added to the braid was a really big one from around the temple/top of the ear hair, if that makes sense.

Seems to me like it's just one gigantic French braid across the head. Finished off from the ear down with an English braid.

Oops, totally true. I think maybe they combed/pulled/pinned the braid towards the back of her head after it was done to cover the parting?

Actually it looks like you'd need two stylists. :)

She's wearing different earrings in the bottom photos, so I think the first picture is to show the components and then a slightly different version the finished look.

I can't tell if it's one lace braid going from above one ear, across the top of the head, and ended up at the other ear, or two lace braids meeting in the middle on the top and combined to finish with an English braid added to a messy ponytail. It would be pretty easy for me to do either way.

I think it's two different braids. The first one looks like a regular french braid and the other two look like a lace braid... unless the braid is pinned back to hide the sectioning? http://i.imgur.com/NOA2223.gif
