I use barrettes to pull back sections of my hair, and to be decorative. I've used them to pull the crown hair to the back, anchor accent braids or tendrils, anchor side sections, and to act as a sturdy base to anchor a modified pony tail style I came up with that makes it look like my hair is shorter than it really is. I actually find them to be quite useful! :D

Same here. If I want to wear my hair loose, I'll often use a barrette to pull back parts of it. My hair tends to go all over the place, so a barrette keeps my hair behind my back, and out of my face if it's windy. ;) Less tangles that way, too.

Not sure if I'll wear the two together, but I'm really happy with them -

Well, I was outbid on an individual one I wanted -- I have a sneaking suspicion that it's someone from LHC, so I'll just leave it be knowing that it will find a good home. ;)
