I trimmed about 2 inches off of my hair... i had to. i couldnt stand the layers and the long stringiness on the bottom of it.... and it feels alot better. Im just hoping it isnt super noticeable now... GAH! has this ever happened to anyone else? i dont regret it, but its like theres this guilt i have now :(

Was it worth it? pix to come later

No if you feel a hundred times better there's no reason to feel guilty- the hair grows back- but yeah I've been there and thought *&~^*~^ what did I do?

Post a pic and then we can see- but the record I think you're hair is a lovely colour x

It doesn't look that different and it looks like it would all grow at the same length after this trim.

I'd put the scissors away for a good few months despite the end might look.

You look good though.

I've been trimming my hair for 1.5 years to get rid of layers - still I have some. Don't feel guilty, do whatever makes you happy.

I think it looks good :)
If your goal is to grow this cut will get you there with no awkward stages. I like it. I am a big fan of loving your hair NOW not later. :)
Life is too short to live for tomorrow in my opinion.

Looks a lot thicker ! On the contrary, it's not a big difference lengh-wise. Plus, layers can really be a pain in the ***, when you have a long journey ahead: so IMHO better now than when you will be just a inch shy of some milestone :)!

I agree with this. I would put those scissors away! If you really want to grow longer, you'll just have to get past those awkward stages without cutting it all the time (or it's never gonna happen). If you don't have damage, then there's no need to trim!

I'm not sure I understand the guilt. May as well do what pleases you, and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in you for you hair decisions.

No need to feel guilty, I think it looks great! You did something I didn't dare to, I am still cutting away my bob layers at BSL (although I liked the look of them growing out).
