I've been WO for around 5 weeks (going surprisingly well!) and just recently purchased FOTE Aloe Vera at Wal-mart after reading up about the awesomeness of aloe vera.

My question is, can using it on my hair/scalp cause too much build up since I'm not really washing it out but rinsing it off? My hair feels great after rather wash, but this is the first time I use it.

I read up on the ingredients and can't really tell if it'd hurt my hair's health in the long run. Any ideas?

It may keep the sebum from fully coating a quicky. I bet someone on WO thread has tried it so you will probably get answers pretty quickly.

Honestly, with all the gel-creating components that are added to aloe gel, I'm not certain that it would necessarily rinse off with just water. IMO, you might do better buying the aloe juice that's intended to be drunk as a nutritional supplement and needs to be kept refrigerated. Fewer ingredients there that might build up.
