It won't go into any style nicely. I've redone it 3times because I'm getting headaches and neckaches from it, and it's just on my very last nerve. I've got it in a Dutch braid now, and hopefully it can stay that way until later. Ugh. Today's the kind of day I wonder why I want to have long hair.

I know just how you feel. Christmas week my hair was the most abominable stubborn monster. This week it is sweet as pie, it does have its moods. Put it up and forget about it until it decides to behave. Maybe it has been talking to the Naughty Mess.:)

I have had those days. I just put my hair into a braid like you did until it wants to behave. Braid = timeout.

For me the worst is when I do a nice Dutch or French braid without looking and it feels good, but then I notice I missed a few strands of hair. I'm always too lazy to fix it!

The Naughty Mess is a bad influence! Today is the kind of day it gets referred to as mop hair.

Timeout really helps everyone, and keeps it from getting hacked off.

Oh, I hate it when that happens. My husband just kind of laughs at me about it when I catch that I missed hair and say a bad word or two.

Days where I hate my hair were easier to deal with when I had super long hair, as opposed to the shorter cut I got in October. Now that its grown out some it is way easier to deal with than it has been in the last few months. Lol, I guess my point is that chopping it off doesn't always make things better. At least when its a bit longer putting it up and forgetting about it is an option.

Stubborn hair can happen at any length. I hope cooperation is better now.

Oh, I probably won't chop it off over this. I'm just frustrated. My husband already knows that he has to ask me several questions before he either gives me the scissors or helps me cut it. That way I am not doing anything spur of the moment when I'm annoyed with it. Braids are good.

It is now that I have it up. I've just had a couple of really good hair weeks, and I hoped they would stay longer.

I wish I could dutch or french braid! My hands are so clumsy with my thin strands. On my worst greasy days I do a side braid too, I think I'll oil and do that tonight.
Everyday is a bad hair day for me besides wash day

It took me forever to figure it out. Torripaige has a Dutch braiding for dummies tut, and that's how I figured it out.

Oh thank you for sharing that. I've watched almost all of her videos. I guess I can always pause it each step at a time to learn and follow along. I don't know why it's so hard for me I can braid and knot string, hemp, rope, etc... anything but my own hair. Is dutch braiding harder than french braiding although they are the same concept give or take?

I don't think it's harder, but when I learned to Dutch braid, I couldn't French braid anymore for a while. (Retroactive interference in learning)

That happens a lot to me. On those days, it won't even keep any pin I put in it. Hair has it's own personality we have to handle it like we handle children xD
When mine is behaving, I just put it in a ponytail and it saves me a lot of hedaches =)

That's today. After my oil treatment night before last I guess I didn't get all the oil out of ONE section of hair so now I have to have it all pulled up until I wash it again. Might just do another overnight treatment tonight and wash it tomorrow.

yea, i was a total fool the other day when i side braided my hair for one day then, took it down remembering that woops! its not gonna be an equal braidwave.. \\
and so like duh,
i flipped it to the other side the next day and braided that side.
later that night, took it down and my hair hurt from the traction. I'm like,.. Whaaa???
:disbelief:
but come to think of it I had a hat on too.. but never usually does that plus it being a different side or way than usual.,
i know if i had oiled my scalp it probably wouldn't have been that bad..
heck the other day i couldn't even find a darn clip- i had to use a snap pin holding it up from the side- it made a really precise bee butt bun that i really don't think looks the greatest on me but was all i could find that day.
long hair denial whilst trying to benign neglect. very perplex.-
and complex.

I find it easier to Dutch than French, but that's probably because I like it so I do it more. French braiding feels backwards to me now, even though when I English braid my hair, I start it the same direction as if I were French braiding it.
This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTUiDFhzjao) Is the tutorial that helped me.

My husband likes the side braid, so I do it every now and again. I've never worried about the braid waves though. Mostly because I end up putting it into a regular braid to sleep in.
Sometimes I wonder just why hair has to be so complex.

Dutch braid is my go to style when nothing else works...I had one of those days the other day. I tried a nautilus and a disc bun I don't know how many times before I gave up. I wonder what makes hair decide to be so temperamental?
I just realized...I can do a dutch braid but I cannot french braid. o.O

I've decided that I'm going to blame my son for my hair not working yesterday. I'm sure it's his fault somehow. :p
