Hi guys :)
Here is my first attempt at a sock bun:

First off I'll admit I cheated a bit.....I got my mum to roll it LOL I really like it actually but I've bought a stocking to use instead of a sock in the hopes of making it less....well...epic :p I'm going to try with the stocking tomorrow....but if it works as well I have my go to lab style! Score! Question is by wearing it 2 to 3 days a week and alternating the pony position (done with a hair friendly tie of course) between low and high would that be likely to cause any damage?
Anyone with hip length hair want to share some sock bun pics? Are yours as, well, huge? Does anyone pin the top of the bun to their head for added ability? It stays fine but I feel like I should pin it just in case! I'm thinking of adding a decretive comb above it to make it a bit softer.....but yeah I really like it :)

Well to be fair I rolled half of it and then I just ran out of arm or something...;)
I like it but I'd like it a touch smaller.....it's so big LOL

I have seen smaller sock buns at the local shop here or you can use a smaller sock as well...

I'm sure it won't. I wore a peacock twist for years, always in the same spot with a claw clip and I see no damage from it. Been wearing a cinnabun or LWB for a number of weeks now, always in the same spot. It's *fine*! Don't worry so much! ;)

Thanks guys :) No side pics sorry! I did it again the next day and it worked out okay too, so it's looking like a winner ;) I had my bangs trimmed and my hair dresser loved it, she thought it was great how big it was lol
