So I've put down 2b/2c, but I'm really not sure.
Here's my hair today air dried after a wash (Still slightly damp in the back )

The top of my hair has a little texture too it and is not straight. They only way to get the ends to show up was with flash.
This looks 2b/2c to me

But then I have this stuff going as well in the front

I always have spiraling as is shown after washing. So does that mean I'm more of a 2c/3a?
Please excuse my pajamas ;)

To answer your last question, yes. I think you are a wavy/curly, so 2c/3a. Looks like you could have a lot of fun with that making different hairstyles or just down. :)

Judging by the couple of ringlets, I'd say 2c.

Mh, on most pictures I would bargain for 2c, but the spirally strand on your 3rd pic makes me wonder whether you could sport some curls with the right encouragement. Have you ever tried plopping (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r54bdlLwXnI) after washing?
If you try plopping it may be best not to use a leave-in for the test, because that can weigh hair down big time (and of course don't brush or comb once out of the shower).

What hair type one is can change by up to 2 or 3 types depending on the length, the products used and the way it is dried so don't worry to much on exactly pinning your type down.

If you do try plopping, I'd love to see some pics.

I'll try it next week and post some pics here. Why does plopping make so much of a difference for curls?

Because it relieves the hair of it's own weight pulling down and stretching the curls and because you actually help them forming when you slowly let them fold up for it.
Think of it like setting it in rollers to get them to curl, but instead of fixing them in an artificial curl you fix them at naturally formed curls.

Different people need different plopping times for them to work. Some do between 15 mins and an hour, I even plopp overnight for the best results (when I take it down it is still damp but dries in 15 mins).

2c on the Naturallycurly scale, that is visibly wavy at the roots and spirals/ ringlets at the ends. 3a is a stronger curl pattern at the roots which would be difficult to brush straight when wet.

When hair is wet some of the structural bonds which create curl pattern are broken, these reform as hair dries. If you think about what a towel turban does, the hair is basically pulled straight with a slight twist discouraging weaker wave/ curl. Plopping concertinas the hair into its natural waves/ curls so that is supported and encouraged as hair begins to dry. Diffusing also supports the weight of the hair/ water and concertinas the waves/ curls as they dry.

I agree with 2c as well.

I'm sorry but I fear I have to disagree on that one point. When my hair was shorter I had distinct Shirley Temple curls on the length (so definitely not a wavy type), but my root did never have any root curl to speak of in my whole life.

And in the time I lurked excessive at naturallycurly I saw many more curlies (3a to 3b) struggling with too little root curl and lift.

But of course it still looks 2c as shown in the pic.
