It worked!!!!! :)

So from my last cut in 2012 my hair hasn't seen scissors, I was so surprised as I was sure I would have a head of splits, I'm also glad that I'm don't have to pay for scissors. The past year has been a journey to self acceptance with regards to my hair that was accepting that my hair is very very average. It is not overly thin but it is very far from the thick hair I wished I had, 2.8" last time I measured, it is not fine and silky like I wish it was and it's strait and flat.
No amount of pampering massaging, wishing or comparing my hair to others will change my hair type.

The good things about my hair are that its easy to care for and relatively resilient and I can getaway with only finger combing, at least for now, which means less damage.

I am very happy that I never styled, chemical dyed, curled, used a hair-dryer on my hair for the year it was short it has made growing it out so much easier. I'm very low maintenance (lazy) I couldn't even keep up henna, the last 6" are still red but I like it and I don't want to loose 6" :)

Beautiful hair! I to have gone on the jorney of self acceptance with my hair and its been 1 year and 7 months (I think), I went from just bellow shoulders to now MBL. It feels great not having to keep up with all the crazy stuff i used to do to it and it feels even more amazing that i dont have to use heat to tame freeze etc. My hair is now naturally smooth, feels great!

Beautiful! Our hair is almost exactly the same length, and seems to grow about the same rate. :D I love finding hair twins :o Your hair looks so sleek and shiny, I love it~ ♥

oh, eta: my avatar pic is pretty old, i need to update it. my hair is quite a few inches longer now than in that pic, lol. it seems weird me saying our hair is the same length and that picture saying otherwise!
