Quixii, it is an almost proper hair-typing photo. I air dried it, no brushing, minimal touching.

It's the size of each curl. If they are mostly sidewalk chalk sized, then you are 3a. If they are mostly Sharpie or Magic Marker sized, then you are 3b. :)

Thanks everyone, looks like I'm 3a/b. I think the curls on the top layer are more 3a and the curls underneath are 3b.
