I thought this article was interesting. Ignoring the religious aspect of this article (you can scroll down to the real study on hair) you get a nice look into the styles and seriousness of hair in one part of the world during the first century.


I thought some would appreciate the pictures and bits of information presented here. Lots of examples of elaborate hairstyles. There is even information on how the different hairstyles were achieved.

Fabulous article. I wish we could ask the women if they were having a good hair day
or if they were as frustrated as we can be with our styles :).

Really nice article, even if I skipped over the religious parts. So many pictures!

It is interesting, however I think I prefer the studies by Janet Stevens. Hers feel better researched and she uses a lot more up to date sources, I'm also rather uncomfortable with the fact that not one of those photographs used has been credited.
