I'm in! I would love to reach waist-when-curly by then. I have no clue how many inches I need (I'm currently about 2 inches above waist when stretched, but not even BSL when curly), but I'm sure as heck gonna try. No trims, good diet and exercise, and benign neglect are the plan! :)

This is more likely a realistic goal for me. I have about 3" until waist but my hair seems stubborn. So with trims and such I think 8 months will get me there. Christmas will be a full waist :)

Count me in too! I'm a few inches past BSL, but have curly hair so sometimes it's longer, sometimes it's shorter. I should have no problem hitting waist by Christmas 2014. I just have to get through a Texas summer without cutting all my hair off.

I'll join too, am at MBL now when straight( have wurls):). The thing is that I have such a long neck and my waist is kind of low, so once I hit waist hip is not very far away.

I have some silly face framing layers that are APL ( bad haircut 18 months ago, by young stylist, face layers almost at eye level?!!) but the rest is now BSL or just past.
Got a teeny bit of bleach damage at the very ends which I will be micro trimming out but yes, waist is achievable for me by Christmas '14. I too am like Bambi and have a long neck and a long torso too though so waist on me is pretty long. Hip is only two inches below waist at the most. Oh well, here goes!

GNC sells the Ultra-Nourish Hair vitamins. It's got Biotin, silica and MSM in it. Hoping that it will help with the health of hair. Apparently it's supposed to help strengthen too.

Hey I'll join in here! I was just on waist this Christmas but my ends were straggly so I asked my SO to trim a half inch off yesterday to freshen my ends for this year's growth - now I am mysteriously 4 inches shorter.... :( but my ends do look much better.

And it is summer here so am hoping for a nice growth spurt.

I'm considering adding a vitamin to my daily routine, but at the moment I've focused on more greens and veggies, quinoa, green smoothies and lots of water! Gonna keep up the scalp massages with castor and rosemary oil, and this summer actually go and get some sun! Call me crazy, but my hair always seems to grow faster when my scalp gets a fair amount of sunshine. :D

I've been on the green smoothie train myself :] I've been adding 1-2 tbsp of coconut oil, or half an avocado, to mine. Give me all those fat-soluble vitamins! I'll bet we see thicker, healthier growth with them!

well my hair is little past the BSL... i cut 6 inches of hair in september because they were really damaged from coloring in the past...they were past waist actually :( But I managed to grow 2.5 of new virgin hair since then :)

I think I have between 4 and 5 inches to waist so I'm going to do all I can to achieve waist by Christmas. I think I only added 4 inches or so to my length between last January and this January, but I'm not going to trim this year. Just S&D and maybe dusting if needed. I haven't trimmed since June and I have found a lot of split ends lately. My hair gets soooo tangly!

I'm in! I am hoping to hit waist (31") before then as I only have 5.25" to go, but I have not kept track of how much my hair grows per month. I would be thrilled if I could get a few more inches and make it to elbow.

The positive thing is that I am breastfeeding right now which means I am taking lots of good vitamins and supplements and am eating well. The negative is that who knows how my hormones will affect growing. Past pregnancies I have had a big shed around 4-5 months but I think it also coincided with stopping taking my prenatal, so hopefully I can prevent that this time. I have kept my hair shorter back then too, so again, no clue on hair growth expectations.

Yup, I am... unconsciously though, because I've been working out and I don't have time to wash my hair daily ... and since I've been sick lately, don't want to go to bed with my hair damp or wet and I don't want to use the hair dryer either... So, braids are the way to go... I hope my ends don't suffer the consequences of too much braiding...

This morning, for example, it was so messy I decided to combed it and... it's so nice, soft and behaving... lol.... with a bit of wave on the ends... and it seems really getting to waist... soooo... it is so difficult to know where exactly i am right now length wise....

I have not trimmed since the fall so my hair is slightly longer than in my sig (need to update it). I am attempting the no trims for 2014 challenge so I need everything I can to hold me accountable for what I do to my hair. I had attempted the challange in 2012 but failed 8 months in because I couldn't manage to embrace the fairy tale ends. My mindset has changed towards them in this past year. It's going to be tight but I think with no trims I can do it and hit my two birds with the one stone.

I had finally grown a half inch but then I joined the Cut on the Equinox thing and I ended up trimming a half inch off. I didn't mean to cut that much but you know how it goes, snip snip, make it even snip a little more....

So I'm still at 23.5 inches.

That's been my biggest struggle for awhile....the self "trim" which usually ended up as a self "cut"!!! I have managed not to do that for over a year now.....?....wow. That's a record. Anyway, I've actually had to henna once a week for the last three weeks because of roots....so I hope I'm having more growing than breaking off to be able to see a difference soon!

I'm about 6 inches from waist. I can't measure it for sure but according to the mirror I'm 6 inches away. I went from trimming to no trims but s&d my ends. I got carried away I s&d a patch of broken hairs that grew out not they're short like layers. I'm not worried about it. They've split free ends to grow with. I'm taking my hair care more seriously.

I'm in! I'm growing out a layered cut- shortest (not counting my bangs, which I'm keeping) is at shoulder and longest is around BSL, so from the longest ends to waist is around 5-6 inches. My hair grows fast even when I'm abusing it, so now that I've found the LHC and am learning to properly care for it it should grow even faster! (Umm... please? :pray: )

We do search and destroy methods for our split ends. We snip off splits, bent and damaged ends. That's a method we use to tidy up our ends without cutting.

I am popping in to join! I'm currently at MBL stretched, and BSL curly. My hair seems to have a different wave/curl pattern after each wash, so the hemline is always in a different place. My waves are tightening up into curls with the end of winter, which makes it feel like I'm losing length instead of gaining it. I would like to see Waist stretched by Christmas. I don't know how I measured, or counted, for that matter, when I joined this thread! This is my latest length shot, and If nothing really strange happens (Yes, I'm looking at you, last years crazy shedding season and growth stall!) I'll be there this summer. No need to wait for christmas. I don't know how I managed to fail the mathematics that bad! I'll blame it on the fact that I usually don't measure or think in inches...

I'm not that far from waist but I'm freaking out a little bit! My hair is breaking off and I don't know why. I almost feel like it's because I'm wearing a bun basically all the time. My ends are ok but hair is breaking at ear/shoulder level which makes me think it's mechanical damage. My hairtoys should be fine but I'm going to quit buns for a while and see if it makes any difference. It almost looks like I have layers! :(

because I believe my hair just doesn't feel/look nice... My ends are rough... plus I've noticed that I have tons of different lengths... like, there is not one hair the same length as the other...

My hair is now at 25 inches. I'm either growing slowly, having breakage or both because I haven't made much progress. I think I've grown 1.5 inches in 5 months. I forgot though, I trimmed an inch a while back, so I'm growing .5 inches per month. It just seems so slow at this stage.

I think I'll make waist by Christmas 2015 though.

I have done NO pics in the mirror, nor have I been OBSESSED with checking my length! For all I know, I haven't even budged from the last length check photo I took!! I am definitely going to get on this though, this weekend probably. I honestly can't believe "it slipped my mind". Blown away that I haven't been on it like I have been since 2008!!!!! Last week, I had my hair lightened to my natural color and got about an inch taken off, putting me back at 25." It's a little difficult to tell from the picture, but in this shirt I believe my waist is at 27." I'm not sure that I can get it to grow two whole inches between now and Christmas, but I should at least be fairly close.

I do all measurements stretched and hit waist August/sept. waist was at 30" but on me it looks high. With waves (in this case braid waves) I am basically there. This picture cuts off at about my next goal of hip.

Yes! it is... specially because there were so many people that discouraged me along the way not to grow my hair.... you know, the typical comments... "you are too old" , 'why don't you try this short layered cut', etc.

Now, my goal is to get rid of whatever damage I still have and to work on the health of the length. ... I would love to find the perfect products for my hair type and get an all over same thickness .... if that makes any sense... hahahaha...

Well, I made it to "can I call this waist" by Christmas! I did a microtrim 3 days ago, and now I'm at 0,5 inches from solid waist (stretched). However, I'm still at MBL in its wavy state!

I also hit waist this month, right on time! I am planning on improving my hemline in 2015 and trimmed three inches last weekend, putting me back in in MBL. I am aiming to either be back at waist (with lots of trimming), or heading towards hip by Christmas 2015. Congratulations to everyone who made their goal this year!

But it's temporary... my ends need a trim :( I won't take a lot off but I'm going to wait awhile before it's more of a solid waiste before "officially" claiming it.
