Neoma

I have waist-length, baby fine, straight hair. A couple of years ago, I had a massive shed and lost 1/2 to 3/4 of my hair.
It has always tangled horribly, but as I've gotten older (read: menopause) the tangling has gotten even worse.
My go-to shampoo and conditioner for many years (maybe decades) were Pantene. But now most man-made fragrances trigger migraines, so I am unable to use Pantene.
After trying every other product line under the sun, I discovered Aveda Damage Remedy (http://www.aveda.com/products/7410/Hair-Care/Hair-Concern/repair-damage/index.tmpl) a few months ago. I hesitated, because the products are for chemically treated hair. But I'm so glad that I gave them a shot. Nothing other than Pantene has detangled my hair this well.
The shampoo is gentle and doesn't feel the least bit stripping.
The conditioner is thick and has incredible slip. It detangles my hair almost on contact.
The leave-in -- when used after the shampoo and conditioner (but not so much with other product lines) -- adds more slip, shine and smoothing goodness.
After some experimentation, this is the CWC routine that I follow...
Damage Remedy shampoo -- a dime-sized amount on my scalp only
Apply a generous amount of whatever conditioner I'm trying to use up -- on the length only
Rinse 1 and 2 out
Apply Damage Remedy conditioner from roots to tips, concentrating on the length
Finger comb through hair and bun it with a waterproof chopstick
Perform showerly duties
Rinse
After towel drying, apply a small amount of Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair leave-in all over, concentrating on the length
Once a week, I apply the Intensive Restructuring Treatment instead of the daily conditioner. It's extremely heavy and makes my hair too soft, moisturized and unmanageable, so I only use it on days when I'm working from home and don't have to go out into the world. I doubt that I will repurchase this one product when I run out; I feel as if the regular Damage Remedy conditioner is "just right" for my hair.
When I follow the above-mentioned CWC routine, my wide-tooth comb glides effortlessly through my locks -- when they're dry as well as when they're wet. My hair is soft, silky, blindingly shiny, smooth and bright with natural highlights. My hair hasn't looked or felt this good in years.
Now a word on the fragrance... The customer service folks at Aveda said that all of their products are scented only with essential oils, etc., no man-made fragrances. The Damage Remedy products have a very faint, slightly earthy woodsy/herbal fragrance. Aveda is very secretive about the specific notes in their fragrances, but, to me, this one smells like sandalwood and palmarosa, perhaps with a hint of ylang ylang and sweet orange oil. It is extremely faint and I can't detect it in my hair after my CWC routine.
I love these products so much that I recently bought a new tube of the leave-in and a liter bottle of the daily conditioner.
Please note:
These products are loaded with cones.
They are a "salon brand," so they are pricey.
