I will have to admit that after I hit a bump in the road and fell off the hair band wagon I am now hopping back on for good :joy: I did a big chop in April 2013 where the hairdresser took off more than I wanted and added some long layers. I had also bleached some of my hair blonde and am now in the process of covering the blonde up with some lush hennas. I have 3 squares left of lush caca brun than I'm deciding on when to use again since I last used it on Dec 15.

I am including some pictures of my hair a bit after my shower where it was washed, conditioned and rinsed with acv and water mix. I let it dry for a bit before the pics. The picI am including were hard for me to show since I have been dealing with a bad thinning/balding area which happens to be right out in front shudder: I did the monistat for a few months which actually helped alot. And I have since then been babying my hair and I am now seeing small new hairs growing in the front and my hair line filling a bit. I'm not sure if the whole area will ever fill back in, but I would love it if it would. Having that in the front it makes it tough to do hairstyles and I have to try to change them to cover that area. My go to style is a braid over the shoulder. The dutch braid in the photo I started half way down. I like to sleep with this style since it keeps some of my layers from escaping at night lol.

The picture with my hair down was takin by my hubby and the lighting sucked. The light brown almost blonde colored hair was originally the blonde hair that I have been working at to darken up. I will probably do the second application of the 3 squares of my lush caca brun over the Christmas break to try and add more color. And finally the picture with my hair up is in a dutch katniss braid into a bun, I added coconut oil to it since it was hair wash day :)

Sorry if these are too big, I don't know how to make them smaller.

THe photos that show my thinning/balding area were very hard for me to show here, so for me it was a huge step.

That must be hard, sorry you are going through this. I hope all your hair grows back, I know it happens !
Any idea what caused the hair loss ? Did you ask a doctor ?

Sending my best thoughts !!

ps. I really like the style in the last picture ! Your braid looks so thick too !

I have similar issue! Maybe a bit less pronounced, but I too have less hair density right in the very same spot. I don't know what would be causing it, but I do know that it's always been like that to some extend. My hairline on front is solid, but going in there's less hair. I've kinda just accepted it. Monistat did nothing for me, at least not that I noticed any difference. Than again, I've been trying it a few months back, when I was going through Fall shed, so maybe I'll give it a go again later. If it's helping you, maybe keep it up?

And I just wanted to add, your hair looks AMAZING!! I love the curls and thickness! That braid of yours.... wow!

Thanks :) It's funny because to me my braid didn't feel that thick, but once my hair dries fully you can tell it's thick lol. When I was younger I used to pull my hair tight a lot, and then about 5 years ago I went through a lot of stress and for the past 2 years I'm out of the stressfull situation and that's when I noticed new growth. I used the monistat for about 5 months or so with just applying a little dab on the area so the tube went a long way :) I use coconut oil, almond oil, avocado oil and jojoba oil along with peppermint, lavender and rosemary essential oils, not all at once sometimes I mixe some into some coconut milk and let it soak on my hair before a wash.

The last time I had my roots touched up was in july/august and it was so expensive and she missed a lot of my roots I just decided to stop with the blonde. I thought at first I would help cover the spot but in the end I didn't want to spend $110 every few months O.o My hair has grown almost 5 inches since then and I can't wait to grow back what I foolishly got cut off so I micro trim the layers away.

The hardest thing is finding new hairstyles to try in my hair.

Have you tried castor oil, as well? I used it on my eyelashes a while back and it made a big difference in thickness.
