Thank you all so much for your kind replies. It is nice to finally have some updated pictures to put on here. I am always admiring other people's hair. There are so many amazing heads of hair here! I thank you all for helping me to achieve this length which I never thought I could get to.

Hello Everyone. Thank you all so much for your wonderful words! I have spent my life admiring other people's hair, so to hear such comments about MY hair is amazing to me.

Until about three years ago I had no idea that there were any waves in my hair. When I joined here, I typed it as 1a. I just always thought it was straight. What a surprise to find waves emerging!

I have always wished for thicker hair, but I think I am finally lerning to accept and be grateful for what I have.

Thank you so much, Slug Yoga! When I was really young, my Mother kept my hair short. As a teenager, I had it long, but I never noticed waves. I think the hair was probably too dry and damaged to wave. I also combed and brushed it a lot, which I know I can't do now. As an adult I always had it short and sometimes permed because I thought I didn't have the kind of hair that I could have long. I didn't notice waves until I started CO washing. When I saw the first wave in the back, I couldn't believe it! Seems it just needs a lot of moisture!
