I just found out it can get expensive, though, so... I wasn't prepared for that. If you read the explanation underneath one of the beanies, then you'll see that she can knit deeper hats for more hair (based on length and thickness). The biggest price is around $50. That's a *lot*, IMO. But at least you'll have a hat that'll fit your hair or updo... and it's satin-lined as well.

I'm not much good at sewing, but I didn't have any trouble sewing a piece of an old silk scarf into my favorite beanie. Cheaper and I personally like silk better than satin.

Silk can be satin :)

Silk, polyester, rayon, cotton, acetate, wool etc. are all fibers. Satin is a weave of fabric (like velvet, or crepe, or broadcloth). So you can have polyester satin, or silk stain, etc etc.

I made my own ear warmers out of an old scsrf, i'll probably just sew some satin to them to help prevent frizz. I have a beanie around here somewhere i'm thinking about sewing some satin or silk into that to make it more wearable.
