I'm starting a new vitamin regimen based on Bagello's article in the archive: http://archive.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=7994

In it, she recommends flaxseed oil for Omegas. Someone on Reddit recommended Sea Buckthorn instead. Which would you ladies recommend, and is there a difference between the two?

Don't waste your money with either. Short chain omega-3s need to be converted to the useable long chain format, at rates as low as 10%. Eat oily fish or, if veggie, take a marine algae extract rich in DHA and EPA.

Most of what the author of that post lists are not 'vitamins' they are supplements, and I don't see any scientific references. It's not an article it is opinion and personal experience based on what is IMPO suspect or defective research.

Do you own research or have a suitably qualified healthcare professional look at your regime, consider your overall diet, physical activity levels, age/ gender, health status, medication and so on. Nutrition and dietetics are medical disciplines and you can VERY easily do more harm than good playing with them.
