Using Wahl Massager on Scalp

I have one of these massagers http://www.wahlmassagers.com/our-products/all-body-massager#mid and it comes with a scalp attachment. I just wonder if anyone has ever used one of these to do their scalp massages and if anyone things it could be harmful to my hair to use it. I would imagine if I used it on the highest setting and raked it through my hair I could do some damage. But using it gently on a slow speed doesn't seem like too bad an idea. What do you all think?

I had a Wahl massager years ago but gave it up because the "gentle" cycle wasn't gentle enough for me. Also, my hand cramped from holding it, not to mention the noise from the massager. I went back to using my fingerpads.
