I think. I think I have gotten the hang of the rope braid and that I have a successful hawser braid descending from my head. It really eats the length, doesn't it?

ETA: Here it is. Please forgive the selfie look. No one else is awake here, and I wanted to get the pic before it relaxed too much and messed up. Of course, now I have it up in a bun.

Here it is in a bun.

Hopefully these aren't too big

It looks really cool, especially with the different colors. Very eye-catching. I wish I could braid like that, my arms and fingers get tired so I give up after a couple minutes. Cool bun, too!

The stripes were bright pink at one point, but that was back in July. The rest of it is all mine. I'm going to henna it, probably after Christmas. After the first rope braid, my arms got tired, and after the second one, my fingers were really not happy. Rope braiding is so different than English braiding.

Nicely done!

Thank you!

Thank you. My husband says it's really fancy looking, which I liked, without too much work, which I liked more.
