Does my butt look big in this? (Classic length measurements please!)

Okay so I really hope there isn't a thread identical to this, I did a search (on Google, I know the search on here can be a bit funky) and got nothing sooo... Also if this would be better off in another forum, mods please feel free to move it :)

On to business...

My goal for Christmas 2014 is Classic Length. I just measured where I'm currently at, what Classic is on me and using my average growth (not factoring in trims), well uh, I hope my maths is wrong because it's apparently going to take 20 months for my hair to grow over my ass and reach Classic. Is that about average or do I have an incredibly big ass over here? o.o Classic for me is 43" which sounds about right, until I say that I'm only 4'10".

Is my butt just big or what's going on over here? I'm rather sad now, my goal seems impossible, booooo!

So, anyone care to tell me their height and how many inches Classic is on them? I need to know that I'm at least (semi) normal :lol:

I just measured what classic would be on me, and I got 43". :flower:
I'm 5'7" and a pear shape, if that helps.

Classic on me is also 43 inches, and I'm eight inches taller than you! Then again, I have the kind of legs film producers like to slap a saxophone solo on. My husband and I are the same height but you wouldn't know it if you saw us sitting side by side. Aren't proportions funny?

Oh, I have a HUGE amount of ga-donka-junk in my trunk. I was just lamenting the long trek over the mountain that classic is gonna be if I go for that. It might rival some epic Tolkien journey.

Anyhoo, I'm about 5'6" and classic seems roughly about 45".

(It also looks like waist to hip is gonna take way over a year in itself as well, but that's another thread.)

Nope, classic 43 inches on me and I'm also short I'm 5'1.

It's all about proportions, I'm short but very busty (long torso, high waist) and I do not have a big butt. In fact I'm trying to get one :lol:. My BFF is 5'6 and I don't get an upper hand on measurements until past classic, her legs are longer and mine are shorter.

I think that you just have a longer torso then legs - nothing weird with that and it's very common :)

My legs start exactly after half of my bodyheight, which is kinda weird.. But my arms are way too long - aren't they supposed to be as wide from fingertip to fingertip as your height? Mine are far longer.. Boxer's arms my dad always said. ;) Fingertip length on me will take a while XD

I just measured how long is classic on me and i got around 40,5'', and i'm about 5'4''. Right now my hair is around 29,5'' so i have quiet a time to go.

From tail bone to classic on me is about 6 to 7 inches which is 12 months to 14. Going to hip you add another 4 ish inches and another 8 ish months. Woohoo hair math.

Last I measured, it was 45" straight down for me, but the journey is rather longer when you have to take the route over the mountains. Also, my trunk seems to have acquired more junk since that measurement.

ETA: I'm 5'7". Short torso but huge butt.

I'm not going to classic, but I have something odd to share... Fingertip length and classic are pretty much exactly the same on me. Because of this I can get away with wearing short shorts at school because of the "fingertip length" rule! :lol: I blame my long torso.

I'm 5'3.5'' and classic is 45'', give or take an inch or two. It's hard to measure by myself.

At 5'3" with a long torso and somewhat proportionate measurements (my legs are a bit short, I have only a 27" inseam) classic on me is at 44", about twelve inches past hip. I am somewhat pear shaped so that probably adds a few inches.

I wrote in another thread about how it really has nothing to do with height, and more to do with proportions. Most humans are proportionate, you learn this in art class the cannons of proportions are uniform, rarel do you get someone who is completely out of them. If someone has big eyes the truth is that they are "slightly" bigger (usually by millimiters!). Most developed torsos are around the same, we all have the same bone structure. That reall does explains why someone who's 5'6 (BFF) has the same inch measurement as me who's 5'1, because we all share the basics cannons of proportions (one eye length between our eyes give or take, it will never be two eyes it bight be closer together or father apart but it's not going to be radical).



Now the ONLY people that defied all proportion rules were "little" people (midgets, sorry I don't know what the PC word would be) but I'm talking 4 feet and under. It was VERY hard to draw them accurately.

It's a while since I measured but as far as I can remember Classic is 42 or 43 on me and I am 5 foot 10 high.

I just measured and Classic for me is 44 inches.

WL = 33 inches
HL = 36 inches
TBL = 40 inches
CL = 44 inches

Wowzah this got a lot of replies! :D Glad to see I'm not alone! Seems 42" - 45" is pretty much ballpark average, no matter the height of the individual, it's kinda cool... I'm 4'10", reasonably curvy (hourglass, waist is 10"+ smaller than my chest/hips) (bra= UK size 32E/34DD - depending on the brand) and I do have a bum that you can ''rest a tea tray on'' as my grandma likes to say :lol: I got DBF to double trouble tripple wipple check and Classic is 42" on me, not 43", so I'm looking at 18 months, not 20, but still, dayummmm! Maybe I'm just impatient ;)
