Here's a really great tutorial on how to cut the ever popular side-swept bangs:

Blunt cut bangs:

In the last two videos, the guy leave the bangs so long the poor woman can't see, ha ha!

I thought as I listened to him saying to keep the client's eyes shut that most of us here would be very tense if a stylist had such a pompous attitude about it. I actually like to have my bangs cut a bit on the short side so that I don't have to trim again in two weeks. I like to be able to go 4 to 6 weeks. Anyway, I hope these were helpful, in case anyone here was thinking about cutting their own bangs.

Nice! I am growing out bangs now, but once they are at collar bone length and out of the way, I will surely cut them back (if history is any judge) and I love that side swept tutorial.

I liked the blunt bang one. I watched it I do disagree with closing my eyes while getting them cut. But of course nowadays I self trim I have to keep them open. If not if look like I got into a fight with a weed eater and lost. This thread was great I'm always looking for bang ideas.

i'm a fringe (bangs) addict. A hair dresser once told me i must always have some form of fringe due to my large forehead (charming!). Thanks for the links!
