Would you guys say my hair grows pretty fast or slow?

In January 2010 my hair was about 2 inches long. Now it has been almost exactly four years and it is 32" and at BCL. Would you say this was pretty fast or slow? Lately it has been growing SUPER fast so I just recently made that last inch. Sorry if this is an odd question. lol.

Lesliesla, if your hair was 2" in January 2010 and is 34" now after nearly four years, then that would be 32" of growth in about four years. This would equal about 8" of growth per year, which is only 2" above average (hair grows at 6" of growth per year). I am not sure if 8" of growth per year would be considered fast growth or not though.

That sounds pretty fast to me because it's not counting any trims that you probably had to do growing your hair out from being so short.

Yes, that's faster than average. Average is 6 inches a year. That means half of us grow faster and half of us grow slower. Congrats on growing faster and also even more on keeping your growth (it doesn't matter how fast you grow if you cut it off or it breaks off).

I would agree; that's pretty darned fast, especially if you say you have trimmed your hair many times. Congrats on both growing your hair out so quickly and retaining most of what you grew so well. :cool:
