View Full Version : Flexi8 squishes buns?

So...I am right above bsl. the only updos I can do reliably are a cinnabun, french twist, and a lazy wrap bun. I am having a really hard time getting the flexi8 to work with the LWB...If the slide is in the right place, the "8" part of the clip squishes the bun flat against my head and it looks kind of odd. Is the flexi8 just not suitable for this bun style? or is there some way to fix it? I should note that I can't quite make a hair stick secure a lazy wrap on its own either, I usually have to add a mini claw clip or two to secure the wrapped part in place. My hair is wavy and medium to borderline thick, it's not super thick or anything that otherwise should keep me from doing these styles at this length...I am just updo-impaired I think!

Maybe you need a bigger flexi?

I'm just below BSL and I find that a disc bun holds up well with a flexi8 (because it only secures the center of the bun). Most other buns require a mini claw or bobby pin for me because of my shortest layers (APL)
